the denver duo: one week

Solomon is one week old today! His first week flew by pretty fast. Pretty soon he'll be asking to borrow the car. He is a pretty happy baby so far. He doesn't really cry often, if something is wrong he'll fuss a little bit and his little legs will start kicking like he's on a bicycle. But as soon as we change his diaper or feed him or pick him up he is back to being content.

Last night he was awake for 2 hours in a row, which is a new record for him. Then he slept for 4 hours, woke up to nurse, and slept for 4 more hours. It was awesome to be able to sleep for 4 hours in a row! I don't think I've done that in months. The last half of my pregnancy I was up every 2 hours to pee, and then up every 2 hours to nurse Sol. Hopefully there will be many repeats of last night.

We decided to celebrate his one week birthday with a sponge bath. He hated it. He liked having his hair washed, and he liked peeing all over Levi when his diaper was off. But other than that he was very upset by the whole thing.
