I love blueberries!

Solomon will be 7 months old on Saturday!  The time is really flying by and he is growing and learning every day.  I made a bunch of baby food for him... just blended up food and then froze it, and he is loving it!  He doesn't really like bananas.  But he does like sweet potatoes, applesauce, pears, carrots, rice cereal, and blueberries (as evidenced by the above photo).

He is perpetually pulling off his socks so he only has one in this picture.  He is holding a wooden cutout hippopotamus that he loves to chew on.

When he comes to work with me they have a nice big living room with soft carpet and he loves to roll around and play!  In this photo you can sort of see his bottom teeth that are in (he has 3 now).

We got him a booster seat that we strap him into and he loves to sit at the table with us.  He is in the middle of eating carrots in this photo.

He also loves to swing at the playground!

This isn't the greatest video... but it is the only one I have of him (kind of) army crawling.  Love you and miss you all!

Happy Half Birthday Baby!

Solomon is officially 6 months old today!  It is hard to believe that it has only been six months.  He has already grown so much!  Solomon's first tooth is peeking through his gums.  He seems to be dealing with teething pretty well.  He does wake up a little more often with it hurting, but nothing major.  He's still a happy kid all day.  We went out for ice cream for his half birthday, but Sol couldn't have any, so I ate an ice cream cone for him.  He has eaten noodles, zucchini, rice cereal, and bananas.  He's not really into the bananas yet, I think the taste is a little strong for him still.  Things are going pretty well here in Denver, we're looking forward to spring and Solomon's 6 month checkup on Tuesday.  Also, we discovered that Solomon thinks sneezes are hilarious:

Holidays in Ohio

We went to Ohio for 10 days for the holidays. We had a great time and were so happy to introduce Solomon to everyone. We've been busy and sick and so I am more than a little late in getting photos up.

Sol was excited to sleep at Grandma Jane's!

He finally got to meet Aunties Madison and Makayla.

And pull his second cousin Katelyn's hair.

We went to the Columbus Zoo lights with Grandma Jane, Grandpa Mike, my Uncle and Aunt Joe and the girls... they hung out with this giant hammerhead shark!

He laughs! Proof!

No More Flu

Sol and I are finally feeling all the way better.  Levi, of course, never even got the sniffles.  There have been a lot of free days here in Denver the past week or so.  Saturday we went to the Denver Art Museum and taught Solomon to love Claude Monet...

Sol is doing great.  He is growing like a weed and is still a very chill little guy (thankfully it seems he inherited his father's temparament of being laid back and even-keeled).  He really only fusses when he needs something (like food or a dry diaper), and when we are in the car.  This kid HATES the car with a passion.  He is okay usually when we are moving, but when we slow down or stop he starts fussing.  If I try to leave him in the car seat when we get home so I can pee without worrying about him rolling off something he starts to holler.  He just doesn't like being restrained I guess.  Well... it has started to get a little better finally.  He is starting to recognize and enjoy our voices so we can talk to him or sing in the car and it helps him stay calm.  He even smiled at Levi while still mostly buckled into the carseat the other day and I was so shocked I had to take a photo...

 

 

 

Speaking of smiling... Solomon laughed for the first time yesterday!  It was adorable and I am trying to get him to recreate it on film for all of you to see.

After the Art museum Saturday we went to Labe and Katie's for dinner before we went to the Nature and Science Museum in the evening.  Ivy loved snapping and unsnapping the buttons on Levi's shirt.  

 

 

 

Popi and Ivy are both great with Solomon.  They always like to give him hugs and kisses.  Popi was looking at a sleeping Sol and she accidentally brushed him with her hair and he woke up and started crying (he likes his sleep).  She got so concerned and started patting him and apologizing.  Cutest thing ever.  Well, speaking of sleep, I need to go nurse Sol so he can think about going to bed.  Love and miss you all!

You know fall is ending when the squirrels start storing up for winter by demolishing your jack o' lanterns.
